This trip was a first visit for Jacquelina to the Southwest, so in many ways it was a "California Sampler". Our plan was to hit a series of places, with the theme of diversity - the Mountains of California, and especially "Out in Nature". Consequently, the general scheme was to arrive in San Francisco, then travel to Yosemite for a rim hike, over to the Panamint Range in Death Valley, then over to the coast for beach camping and a visit to the Monterey Aquarium. Then we’d have a day or two to explore more of San Francisco.

The weather was basically great, making it easy to take lots of photographs ...so off we go…
